We’re thrilled to announce that Yoto is the exclusive audio sponsor of Children’s Book Week 2025, brought to you by the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA). We’re teaming up to celebrate the power of storytelling and bring even more Aussie books to life in audio format — and we need your help!
Do you have a favourite Aussie author or children’s book that deserves to be heard? Whether it’s a classic favourite or fantasy adventure, historical, we want to know! Share your nominations and we'll work hard to bring those stories to life on Yoto.
What is Children’s Book Week?
For those new to Children’s Book Week, it’s a seven-day celebration of Australian children’s literature for schools, libraries, families, and storytellers. It’s a time to celebrate the stories that have shaped young minds, and it’s something we’re incredibly passionate about.
The Children’s Book Council of Australia, a national, volunteer-led organisation, leads this important event. We’ve partnered with them because their mission — connecting, communicating, celebrating, and advocating for the value of stories — is something we truly believe in. Just like the CBCA, Yoto knows that stories have the power to enrich lives, spark imaginations, and connect generations.
Why this matters
With a growing collection of Australian voices and beloved stories in our audio library, we’re helping children dive into a world of creativity, learning, and adventure. But we know there’s so much more out there, so we want to hear from you—our community of passionate readers, families, and educators.
Stay tuned for more!
As Children’s Book Week 2025 approaches, we have some exciting announcements in store.
So, what are you waiting for? Nominate your favourite Aussie authors and kids’ books now, and help us bring more incredible Australian stories to young listeners across the world.
