🇦🇺 An unforgettable day at the Sydney Writers’ Festival

We loved hosting little listeners at our Yoto Listening Lounge at Carriageworks, as part of this year’s Sydney Writers’ Festival.

It was magical to see so many children and families dive into the world of storytelling with the help of our Yoto Players and Yoto Minis - completely offline and fully immersed in their favourite stories. From The Very Hungry Caterpillar to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the day was filled with imagination.

Our Listening Lounge was part of a full day of family-friendly experiences, with Russ the Story Bus offering books to borrow, a colouring and craft station, and even sessions where families could create their own comic books.

A huge thank you to our volunteers for creating such a welcoming environment and guiding families through their journey into the world of audio storytelling. And of course, every child left with a gift bag to keep the creativity flowing at home.

What we loved most was seeing kids so engaged in the experience, completely losing themselves in stories without the distractions of screens. This event was a reminder of the power of switching off, and we’re thrilled to have been part of such a wonderful festival.

We’re just getting started—keep an eye out for more exciting Yoto experiences coming your way soon!
