[Resolved] Option to Permanently Disable WiFi Until Manual Reactivation on Power Up

edit -> resolved:Solution is to have all card downloaded to the player then make the player forget all wifi network.
on restart it wont have the wifi and unless you proceed with pairing to add wifi.

downside: new card, need to control using the phone... you need to go through the full setup process

I have a feature request, please.

I own a Yoto Mini edition 2024 but I believe this feature would benefit all players.

The feature request:

Add the Ability to disable completely the wifi (and all connectivity), from the Yoto App, which remains disabled even when the Yoto is turned on again.

The WiFi should only reactivate if the user holds a designated button (e.g., a combination of the power button and another button) during power-up to turn the WiFi back on explicitly.

Current ability to turn off the wifi is NOT GOOD:

We can disable WiFi through the mobile app. However, when the Yoto is powered off and then turned back on, the WiFi automatically reactivates.

It’s not good. We need a way to disable the Wifi (or any connectivity) completely and only enable it back when we want it.

I understand that, without the wifi:

The player cannot download new card content (it needs to be downloaded beforehand)
The player cannot be connected to my phone's Yoto App (no control possible from the App)
Some player functionality will not work

Feature details:

Add a setting to disable WiFi entirely, with an option to prevent automatic reactivation on power-up.
- There could be a warning popup to confirm this action.
Require holding down a specific button combination during startup to manually reactivate WiFi.
This setting can be enabled/disabled in the mobile app for added flexibility.

How I use the Yoto:

I set up everything and ensure any new card is downloaded on the Player.

After that I want the Yoto to be completely offline and only then I let my kid play with it.

→ I want my kid to be able to use it autonomously BUT without any wifi.

→ Because of how it currently works I cannot let my kid just have it… as I need to turn off the wifi every time the Yoto is turned on.

Another example of a general use-case:

When you are travelling you don't necessarily have connectivity so the wifi is useless. During a journey, you are not keeping the Yoto ON all the time, but instead, turn it on and off and on and off…. The Yoto will activate the wifi alwaysand search for connectivity (which also reduces battery life).

This connectivity is completely useless apart from controlling the Yoto from the phone app. But at this stage if you need the phone then why bother buying the Yoto?

Do not reply that I can disable the wifi from the app. I know that and my request is that I can disable it permanently and it will turn back on only when I want it.
I don't want to debate about the Wifi, if it’s silly to not want it on etc. I just don't want it when my kid plays with the Yoto.
Be constructive, and idealy supportive of the idea (not just up-vote)
