Hello world. I am a woman aged 33 who is mentally ill, has autism, and, if it matters, has a learning disability.
I've had Yoto for maybe almost two years now I believe, and it has helped me a lot when I have been anxious or depressed, or basically just under the weather mentally. I don't know anyone who's heard of Yoto, and I feel like, if more people knew about it, maybe it would help them the way it's been helping me.
Sometimes screens and the internet trigger me, so Yoto seemed like an idea I could roll with, and I'm so glad I did! To anyone who is autistic and/or mentally ill and wants to buy one of these, don't be embarrassed because it's supposed to be for kids! I found this to be a worthy investment. Anytime I'm feeling triggered, I've found popping in one of my cards to help me a lot. In minutes, I tend to feel better.
The fact that this has no ads, no microphones, no real screens and careful connectivity to the internet has made this something I can use without worrying about being triggered, and I think other people like me, if they knew about it, would feel the same if they knew about this.
