I would like an “Activity Log” in the Yoto app. You click Player Settings, in there, there is an “Activity Log” tab to click on. Here, it shows which cards/audio files have been played, at what time, and for how long. Title, Time, and Duration. Parents don’t always know which cards their kids are making the most use of, and there are times we would really like to know. For one, this would assist them in cycling out the least used ones in their collections to replace with new cards. My son uses his at daycare and has 16 cards in the case and I don’t know which cards he’s not interested in, for example. I’d like to offer new ones, but I’m not sure which ones to replace. So, an Activity Log would assist in decision making when purchasing new cards to replace the least used ones.
There is tremendous benefit to not only Yoto users, but the company as well. (Aside from encouraging the purchase of new cards to try.) Your company can then use this data from the activity logs for useful research. You could run analyses using data on the types of cards that are played most frequently, by which age groups and genders and for how long, etc…
