Yoto-UP: another way to create and manage playlists

Hi Everyone,

Having recently got a Yoto player for our child and created some of our own cards/playlists it quickly became apparent that this can be a rather tedious process.

To this end I've create Yoto-UP. This is a set of (open source) python scripts / tools / GUI to make card management easier.

Whilst it originally started it as a command line based tool (with a rich TUI interface), it has since grown to encompass a fully featured GUI (got to keep the wife happy...).

It is designed to allow quick card creation from a folder / list of files but also has a number of other time saving features such as

  • automatic icon selection and upload (with icon searching for when it fails to select an appropriate title)

  • cover art search (with automatic upload)

  • playlist management including, track reordering, automatic overlay / key setting

  • many other useful (or not so useful) features

It is still in its infancy so will have bugs, but it has reached a stage where it may well be useful to people.
