'Tales from Evergreen Hollow': A New Story Every Day!

Hello, Yoto community.

I'd like to introduce a new card I've created called Tales from Evergreen Hollow.

The idea is simple: a new, short story chapter arrives on your Yoto player every single day. These daily chapters connect to form a complete, gentle story arc each week (Monday-Sunday). The stories follow a group of five animal friends who live in the cozy, magical world of Evergreen Hollow. Their adventures take them all across the valley, from the Glimmerstone Grotto behind the waterfall, through the tall grasses of Whisperwind Meadow, and along the winding Blackberry Bramble Path.

What makes this card unique is how it adapts to your family's life:

  • A Story That Follows Your Seasons: The card recognizes whether you're in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere. So, while a family in Europe listens to a story about the first winter snow, a family in Australia will hear one about a warm spring day.

  • Celebrate the Year Together: The stories naturally weave in seasonal events and holidays. We’ll celebrate the hope of spring around Easter, give thanks in the autumn, and share the joy of Christmas with gentle, age-appropriate themes.

  • Never Miss a Moment: Life can be busy! That's why you can always go back and listen to any story from the past 7 days, so you'll never miss part of an adventure.

Meet the Friends of Evergreen Hollow

Here are the five best friends your little ones will get to know and love.

Finley the Fox Our brave and curious explorer-in-chief! With his fluffy red tail swishing in excitement and a trusty leaf scarf around his neck, Finley is always the first to suggest a new adventure. He has a heart full of courage and is always ready to solve a tricky riddle or find a secret, hidden path. Sometimes his eagerness gets him into funny scrapes, but his optimism and kindness always see him through. If you listen closely when he's nervous, you might just hear him humming a silly tune!

Rosie the Rabbit The gentle and nurturing heart of the group, Rosie makes everyone feel safe and cared for. You’ll often find her in her garden on Sunflower Hill, tending to her colorful flowers and yummy vegetables with a basket slung over her shoulder. She loves to share, and there’s nothing better than one of her famous carrot muffins after a long day of play. When she’s thinking very hard about how to help a friend or a wilting plant, her little nose will twitch in the most adorable way!

Squeak the Squirrel Full of boundless energy and brilliant ideas, Squeak is the group's cheerful planner and gadget-maker! She can turn any ordinary day into an exciting game and is always zipping through the trees, her acorn earrings jangling. Her inventions don't always work out exactly as planned, but her infectious giggle reminds everyone that it’s all part of the fun. Her excited chittering is the surest sign that a new, fantastic plan is brewing!

Ollie the Owl Wise, thoughtful, and a wonderful storyteller, Ollie is the keeper of Hollow's many tales. With his big, round eyes and tiny glasses perched on his beak, he loves to gather his friends under the stars to share stories of the past. He is calm and encouraging, always ready with a kind word or a thoughtful piece of advice. If you ever ask him a question he's pondering, don't be surprised if he responds with a gentle, puzzled, "Who? Who?"

Splash the Otter Get ready to laugh, because Splash the Otter is the playful jokester of the group! Loyal, fun-loving, and always ready for a good-natured prank, he lives to make his friends giggle. You'll find him zooming through the Sparkle Stream or doing a surprise belly-flop just to see everyone smile. With his shiny river stone necklace and uncontrollable giggles, he reminds everyone that it’s important to have fun and bounce back from any little oopsie.
