Hardware issues

Not looking for advice. I just want Yoto to be aware of these issues and hope they can have their engineers improve the design.

I have 2 issues:

1) We just bought a Yoto mini and I tried to ignore my disappointment that the first card we put in didn’t “work” until we tried to put it in several times. We learned that the cards need to be put in very slowly until “it takes” then pressed in all the way.

A week later it now only works if we lay the Yoto down and lean the card on another item to make the card tilted so it’s flush with one side of the Yoto.

I really hope this is just a one-off. We ordered a replacement. The card insertion process should not be touchy and difficult even for an adult.

2) Being a child’s product, I appreciate the option to buy a silicone cover. However, as toddlers are wont to do, they like the have tantrums. Due our problems listed on #1, he ended up throwing the Yoto while outside.

The knobs are made of plastic so it scuffed easily and even part of it chipped off (minor).

It would be great if the knobs could be covered in silicone as default to help prevent damage like this.

Now I’m worried my return won’t be accepted due to damage (which occurred after the hardware problems).
