Battery concerns: How do you charge your Yoto Player?

We got the 3rd generate Yoto Player about two months ago, and I love the long battery life! We keep the display on 24/7 and it usually gets about 1.5 days of playing on a full charge. Alarms are one of the reasons we bought it over competitors. We use them throughout the day, including to wake up in the morning.... but sometimes Yoto dies in the middle of the night and that morning alarm doesn't sound - eek!

We should probably just plug it in at night, but I'm scared: I've had laptops and phones which lost significant battery life from being charged 'early', i.e. before the battery completely drains. Slowly (or sometimes quickly!) these devices go from working all day to only a few hours to only a single hour. Since I don't want the same to happen to our Yoto, I've been waiting for the battery to drain before charging it with the wall adapter. But this doesn't happen with all devices: our Nintendo Switch in particular doesn't have any issues with being charged 'whenever'.

So what is your experience?

Should we continue waiting for the battery to drain before charging? Or can we plug it in at night without concern? Or something else altogether?

Thank you!
