Men and women's gymnastics have different equipment. For example, women's gymnastics has the balance beam and men's gymnastics has the rings.
The word "gymnastics" comes from the Greek word "gymnos," which means "naked." That's because in ancient Greece, people used to exercise without clothes!
Gymnasts put chalk on their hands so that their hands don't slip when they're grabbing the bars.
Many Olympic gymnasts started practicing at a very early age. Some were even 2 years old!
The longest set of consecutive cartwheels ever recorded is about 12 miles of cartwheels. That's the same distance as 1,000 cars lined up bumper to bumper!
