Yoto Card Drop for 22 May 2026

It's a Friday card drop this week and we're sharing a day later than usual so we could include today's big launch: Paddington: The Musical is officially here, and it's every bit as warm and wonderful as you'd hope!

Alongside Paddington, we have two beautiful additions from Smithsonian Folkways: folk music journeys that span the globe and celebrate the joy of growing up. We also have two French-language releases in our EU and CA card stores: a vibrant collection of Latin American nursery rhymes and lullabies, and a brand-new Yoto Original helping little ones learn their first words in Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. Plus, three Cards from Independent Creators round out this week's drop.

That’s why in this card pack we’re sharing definitive folk music classics from the USA, eclectic masterworks by Black folk musicians from the United States and the Caribbean, and essential children’s music from across Latin America, performed by some of the most important folk musicians of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.

Celebrate the joys of being a kid with Smithsonian Folkways! The “Growing Up” card pack shares the joys of growing together by bringing adults and children on a full day of fun: checking out the animals at the zoo, playing and dancing around, then finally drifting off to sleep.

Each card features music created for children, showcasing our most iconic folk and children’s musicians (like Pete Seeger, Jean Ritchie, and Fannie Lou Hamer), and by children, featuring the unique ways children express and understand themselves and the world through song. And each is made with listeners of all ages in mind! Since its founding in 1948, Folkways has placed music by and for children at the heart of its mission to document “the people’s music.”

Bringing together new and traditional children’s folk music classics and music from diverse cultures, our “Growing Up” card pack encourages children to learn through interactive movement and develop their senses of self and community through song.
