🇬🇧 World Book Day x Yoto 2026

Celebrating books and reading for fun

The charity World Book Day is all about helping children fall in love with books. That’s why, for the fourth year running, Yoto is proud to partner with World Book Day as their official audio partner, championing reading for fun in all its forms, including listening.

Stories don’t just live on the page. They’re told aloud, shared together, replayed endlessly and remembered long after the final chapter. Audiobooks bring stories to life in a way that feels accessible, joyful and pressure-free… at bedtime, on a car journey, or during a quiet moment cozied up at home.

Great tales that give back

To celebrate World Book Day (5th March in the UK and Ireland), from 12th February to 15th March, we’re donating £1 to the charity World Book Day for every selected Yoto card purchased in our UK Card Store. Every listen helps support World Book Day’s mission to make reading fun and accessible for children everywhere.

Browse the cards in 🛒 World Book Day collection (UK).

Our £1 donation list includes a wide range of much-loved stories for all ages. From picture book favourites and family classics to bigger adventures and inspiring real-life tales, there’s something for every listener. You’ll find stories from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, Paddington, Peppa Pig and Elmer, alongside How to Train Your Dragon, Harry Potter, Matilda, Ultimate Football Heroes and many more.

Why listening counts

Amazing things happen when you pair kids up with high quality audio that speaks directly to their knowledge and interests. Not only does it bring on language and reading skills but their curiosity, imagination, empathy and wellbeing can all get a boost too!

This World Book Day, press play on a story they’ll love and help bring the joy of books to even more children.

Yoto Daily and World Book Day

There was a special episode of Yoto Daily on March 5th to mark World Book Day, celebrating books and stories, and including a build-a-story activity for families to make their own!
