It's been eight years since the first generation Yoto Players were shipped to customers via our Kickstarter launch in September 2018. Since then, thanks to you, the growth of Yoto has been phenomenal - we’ve reached over six million children in over 200 countries.
We’ve totted up the listening hours, and we’re close to replacing over 125,000 years of screentime for our young listeners! Now that really is something we’re proud of.
We’ve always set out to make the world’s best kids audio players and we listen and learn from all your feedback from Yoto Space, Facebook, Reddit and our customer surveys and research. We also realised that once families had built a library of Yoto cards, we needed to provide more choice in how those cards could be listened to by their children.
This has all led to the biggest moment in Yoto’s history - today we introduce the 4th Generation of Yoto with new versions of both Yoto Mini and Yoto Player!
These are not just new versions of our products. We’ve completely upgraded everything under the hood based on all of your feedback to make these the best of Yoto yet.
Yoto Mini 4th Gen

The all-new Yoto Mini 4th Gen is faster, more capable and more resilient with a new rounded look to help fit snugly into kids' hands.
Key new features include:
New Green Button - convenient and easy shortcut access to your kids' most-loved Yoto Cards. Choose up to 20 cards for daytime and another 20 for nighttime. Grown-ups select favourite cards and playlists in the Yoto App, and kids turn and press the Green Button to play.
Puddle Proof - Yoto Mini 4th Gen is even better able to survive the rough and tumble of childhood. It’s now Water and Dust Resistant (IP67-rated) for surviving those accidental encounters with puddles and more. It’s even been drop tested 30,000 times from varying heights!
Storage - We’ve doubled the audio storage to 64Gb - that’s over 1,000 hours of audio. We know that lots of Yoto families want to store more and more audio for offline listening, so this helps to do that.
Upgraded WiFi - dual-band WiFi 6 for faster download speeds, better range and improved compatibility.
Upgraded Bluetooth - the latest Bluetooth 6.1 for seamless headphone connections and more.
Improved Audio - Yoto Mini 4th Gen packs a punch with size defying sound and impressive bass.
New Adventure Jacket colours and an improved accessory attachment - available in Sunny Side Up (yellow), Dancing Flamingo (pink), Penguin Blue (blue) and Fresh Frog Soup (green).

Yoto Player 4th Gen

We’re also updating our flagship. The all-new Yoto Player 4th Gen has been upgraded to the 4th Gen platform, completely engineered for families to get the best of Yoto. The new Yoto Player 4th Gen is faster, more capable, better sounding and with a brand new re-designed night light.
Key new features include:
New Green Button - as with Yoto Mini 4th Gen, this new button gives convenient and easy access to your kids' most-loved Yoto Cards without needing the physical card. Choose up to 20 cards for daytime and another 20 for nighttime. Grown-ups select favourite cards and playlists in the Yoto App, and kids turn and press the Green Button to play. An enhanced display makes it easy for kids to identify the card they want to listen to.
Upgraded full panel dynamic night light - the upgraded full panel night light is better than ever - still fully customisable and now built with individually controllable pixels that will, with future updates, sync colour with audio for a more immersive experience with music and soundscapes. Pricing and availability
With all these upgrades and memory price increases, our 4th Gen players are more expensive to make, but we’ve tried to keep the pricing as reasonable as possible.
Given how often Yoto players get listened to and how long they stick around, we think they’re worth every penny, and we hope you will too.
