From September 17, 2024, Yoto Club will get some big upgrades

If you aren’t familiar, Yoto Club is our subscription service. Members pay a monthly or annual fee to receive monthly ‘credits’ with which to redeem cards, along with other benefits like free domestic shipping and discounts. Now, we’re making some changes.

Using your Yoto Club Credits

Yoto Club Credits issued before September 17, 2024 will expire 12 months after they were issued. These credits can be spent on any eligible card in the new expanded Yoto Club selection, which will be available on the Card Store from 17 September 2024. 

Under the new Plans, annual members will get all credits up front.  

Please note: any new or renewed subscriptions from September 17, 2024 will have new applicable terms and conditions; any credits received from that date will only be valid while your membership is active.

About free shipping

If you are buying Club cards with Club credits, the original cash value of the card will count toward the free shipping threshold.

For current Club members, the free shipping threshold will only affect you once your membership changes to one of the new plans. Free shipping with no limits will continue to work for you until your plan changes, at the end of your current billing period.

Questions about the changes

Can I stay on the current version of Yoto Club?

If you stay on your current Yoto Club membership, this will automatically be changed to the Collector+ plan starting from September 17th, and your next monthly or annual charge after that date will change accordingly.

Can I reactivate the current version of Yoto Club that I previously cancelled? 

No, unfortunately, we won’t be able to reactivate your Yoto Club subscription if you have previously cancelled it or if it was cancelled automatically due to failed payments. We will need to ask you to wait until the new Club plans launch on September 17th to become a Club member again.

What happens to my existing Club credits?

Your existing Club credits will not be touched or changed. They will stay in your account and work just as they did before. Please note that Club credits will expire after 12 months if they are not used.

Can you change my Yoto Club plan?

No, unfortunately, we cannot change the Club plan for you, but we can help you cancel your existing Yoto Club membership and then provide you with the simple steps to order your new Yoto Club membership with your favorite plan.

How do I change my Yoto Club plan?

To change your plan, you will need to cancel your existing Club subscription and purchase it again, choosing your new Club plan when you make your purchase.

To cancel your Club subscription, please log into your account on yotoplay.com, then open the Yoto Club section, and in the Subscriptions tab you will find your existing Club subscriptions and the option to cancel any of them.

You can then place a new Yoto Club order by adding the product to your basket and proceeding through checkout, as with any regular order. 

Why is Yoto Club no longer for sale? (between August 6th and September 17th)

Yoto Club will not be available for sale until the re-launch on September 17th. There are plenty of exciting changes coming to Yoto Club, and you can read all about them here. Thank you for your patience and support.

What if I don’t like the new Yoto Club? Can I get a refund after I have been charged?

If you have joined Yoto Club in the last 14 days, and have changed your mind, you can request a cancellation and refund, as long as you have not spent your Club credits. Please note that if you have spent any Club credits you will not be eligible for a refund.

Why is there now a minimum order value to the free shipping threshold?

The minimum order value has been applied to discourage the purchase of single Yoto Club cards that would need to be shipped alone. As part of our Yoto and the Environment effort, we want to reduce the ecological footprint of shipping by encouraging customers to order multiple products together.

If you are buying Club cards with Club credits, the original cash value of the card will be applied towards this free shipping threshold.

Will I be able to opt out from using Club credits at checkout, if I prefer to pay with a different method?

Yes! When the changes to Yoto Club roll out on September 17th, you will have the option to not use Club credits on Club cards in your basket. 

Will one Club credit still be valid for one Club card?

In most cases, yes.  Most single cards in the card store will cost one credit, although some single cards will cost two credits.  You’ll still be able to buy packs with credits too, and we will be setting a credit price individually for each pack rather than having 1 card cost 1 credit.  Credit costs will be displayed alongside the cash price for every card in the club.  Once you add a card to your basket, if you’d rather pay cash for a card that’s available to buy with credits rather than spend available credits in your account, you’ll be able to do so. 

If I buy an annual Club membership, can I change the plan in the middle of it?

It is not possible to change the tier / plan of a Yoto Club subscription: each Club subscription is fixed in the same plan until the end of its cycle.

To change plans, you need to purchase a new Yoto Club subscription entirely, selecting that new plan. In other words, this can either be done at the end of a billing cycle, or by having multiple plans active at the same time.

If an annual plan is cancelled, we do not provide prorated refunds, and the plan will continue as normal until the end of the already paid for period.

Is Yoto Club coming to Australia?

Yes, we are working to launch Yoto Club in our Australian store soon, so look out for announcements. You can use this store not only from Australia but also from New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand, and Japan.

Is Yoto Club coming to Europe?

Only the Explorer tier of club is currently available in Europe. We hope to be able to bring the Collector and Collector+ tiers of the Yoto Club to Europe in the future.  

Digital content questions

What digital content is available in the Explorer plan? How do I preview this? How often do those cards change?

The Explorer plan will give you access to all Yoto Originals, which you can check out in our card store, plus some exclusive Originals content that will only be available through Yoto Club.

All this content will be specifically marked, and you will be able to recognize it at launch.

More content will often be added, although there will be no strict schedule.

What happens to the digital content in the Explorer plan if I leave the plan?

If you decide to cancel your Club membership, you will lose access to the digital content at the end of your current billing period. This means that if you cancel on the 1st of the month, and your next charge is on the 10th of the month, you will maintain access to the content until the 10th. Please note that when you lose access to the digital content, this will also affect any Make Your Own cards that are linked to that content. You will be able to reuse those cards and link them to something else.
