Let’s be helpful

We want this to be a welcoming, helpful community, so please treat everyone with respect and make sure this is a safe space. 

Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required. Even if you disagree with someone, don’t let it get personal.

Embrace difference

Remember that every family is different and that parenting is a personal journey. In fact, meeting people with different experiences and points of view is a great way to learn from each other.

We don't tolerate inflammatory comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender, nationality or identity.

This includes negative generalisations about groups of people.

Respect intellectual property

We encourage thoughtful participation in lots of opportunities to share great content you have made or discovered.

But don’t share other people’s copyrighted audio, assets or images without express permission and credit.

Respect everyone's privacy, including that of your kids

For your own privacy, we recommend that you don't share your personal information in the community. Personal stories can be funny, helpful and valuable. But take care that you're not sharing anything too personal. And please be thoughtful about images of your children that you may share.

Yoto referrals are for personal use only

We made referral codes and links so that you could share Yoto with your nearest and dearest - and be rewarded for it! Please share codes only in that spirit. 

But, please don't share any other affiliate links or referral codes for personal gain.

Selling

Content or items posted for sale may be removed at Yoto’s discretion.

Share helpfully

You are encouraged to share free Yoto-related content you’ve made yourself like tips, guides, audio creations - all sorts!

Other forms of self-promotion, campaigning and spam aren't allowed. 

‘Promotion’ includes sharing affiliate links or referral codes for Yoto other Yoto stockists.

‘Campaigning’ means repeatedly posting about something to push or petition for a particular cause or point of view.

And we consider ‘spam’ to be something that is posted repeatedly, or is extremely low quality or off topic. We may also remove good things that have just been posted repeatedly by mistake.

Yoto Space Moderators may take actions such as removing or editing posts, suspending members, and pre-moderating spaces to help maintain a safe environment.
