Yoto Classroom of the Month Contest Rules

The Yoto Classroom of the Month Contest (Contest) is organized by Yoto Inc., located at 228 Park Ave S, #48734, New York, NY, 10003 (Yoto).

By entering the Contest, you agree to the following: 

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

  2. ELIGIBILITY
    This Contest is open to legal residents of the United States and Canada (excluding Quebec), who have reached the age of majority in their state, province or territory of residence. Employees of Yoto Inc., its affiliates, subsidiaries, and agencies (Contest Parties) as well as their immediate family members and persons living in the same household, are not eligible. Yoto reserves the right to disqualify anyone who does not comply with these Contest Rules.

  3. HOW TO ENTER
    The Contest runs from April 1 at 12 PM EDT until April 30 at 11:59 PM EDT. To enter, entrants must complete the participation form located at https://tally.so/r/w5MqgE. Entries must be complete and will be verified by Yoto at its discretion.

    Using bots, automated software, multiple identities or any other unauthorized methods to enter is strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification. Late, lost, duplicate, false or incomplete entries are void. Entrants grant Yoto a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use their entries for any purpose. Only winners and their nominators will be contacted.

  4. PRIZE
    Each month, one (1) winner will be chosen. The winner will receive:

  • one (1) Yoto Player (valued at $99.99 USD/$134.99 CAD), and 

  • one (1) “BrainBots Science Fair” Yoto Card Pack (valued at $29.99 USD/$39.99 CAD). 

Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person. If a winner is disqualified, Yoto will award the prize to the next highest-ranked entrant based on the merit of their nominator’s submission.

  1. WINNER SELECTION
    On the first Monday of each month at 3:00 PM Eastern Time, Yoto’s judges will evaluate all eligible entries and select a winner based on the strength of their nominator’s submission. Entries will be judged on the demonstrated educational impact for the classroom, the community's need for learning resources, and the quality of the nomination submission. Yoto is committed to supporting diverse classrooms across North America, with consideration given to achieving broad geographic representation.

If a selected winner does not meet the eligibility criteria set out in these Contest Rules, they will be disqualified, and the prize will be awarded to the next highest-ranked entrant based on the merit of their nominator’s submission.

Winners and their nominators will be contacted within 10 business days of their selection via the email provided at entry. Yoto will attempt to reach the selected winner up to three times within 10 business days. If the winner does not respond or cannot accept the prize, Yoto may select a new winner based on merit.

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
    By entering this Contest, you waive all right to, and hold the Contest Parties harmless from, any claim, liability, loss, damage (including punitive, incidental, and consequential damages), or expense (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with participation in this Contest or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.

    Yoto is not responsible for: (i) incorrect or inaccurate entry information that may affect a person’s ability to participate in the Contest or be awarded a prize, including but not limited to human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed entries for any reason, mail failures, omission, or any combination thereof, and entries that fail to fully comply with these Contest Rules; (ii) technical failxures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (iii) injury or damage to entrants’ computers or to any other individual’s computer related to or resulting from participating in, or downloading any material regarding the Contest or accepting a prize; (iv) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize, including any related travel and the use of entries by Sponsor; (v) the security or privacy of information transmitted via computer networks or for breaches of privacy due to interference by third-party computer hackers or otherwise; or (vi) late, lost, misdirected or unsuccessful efforts to notify a potential winner.

    SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

  1. OTHER CONDITIONS
    Yoto reserves the right to modify or cancel this Contest at any time without notice. If the Contest cannot run as planned for any reason, Yoto may determine a winner from eligible entries received before cancellation.

  2. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
    For U.S. entrants, the Contest is governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any legal suit, action or proceeding arising out of this Contest or these Rules shall be brought exclusively in the courts of New York.

    For Canadian entrants, the Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. The Contest is governed by the laws of the province or territory in which the entrant resides (excluding Quebec). Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a contest in Canada may be submitted to the appropriate regulatory authority for ruling.

  3. PRIVACY
