We’re struggling to find content for my autistic son that isn’t too grown up or with themes such as a bully, good/bad or language that he uses on repeat without understanding that, while funny in the story, isn’t to be used daily. He loves his audio books and reading but is only 6. We’ve been reading these two series and the secret explorers is particularly good for avoiding any unwanted themes or language but has content that is engaging as well as also dropping lots of useful facts. The stonesword saga is a good one for us as it’s written for the younger Minecraft readers. He’s obsessed with Minecraft and this series is more age appropriate than the ones currently available on Yoto.
