The Big Switch Off

Switch off your screens for 24 hours on 12 September 2025

Why switch off?

According to our most recent research commissioned by YouGov, parents now spend more time on personal screens than their kids - four hours a day versus three. That’s over 14 years of life on screens outside of work!

Nearly eight in 10 parents know their habits shape their children’s, yet most admit to scrolling during playtime. The result? Families who want balance but feel stuck in the cycle.

That’s why Yoto is launching Australia’s first National Switch Off!

A day to unplug, reset and rediscover the power of imagination. On 12 September, we’ll turn off our website and socials to invite families everywhere to do the same.
